Join us for a hands-on card and t-shirt making experience where you’ll create a printed card or wearable art! In this exciting 2-hour workshop, you’ll dive into the world of design as you craft your customized product. If you choose to create a t-shirt you’ll create a unique single-color image using Inkscape. From there, you’ll seamlessly transition your creation to the Cricut Cutter software, witnessing precision cutting in action. Your journey doesn’t stop there – you’ll pull off the pieces that don’t go on your t-shirt from your vinyl; then master the art of heat transfer by applying your design onto your very own t-shirt using a heat press.
Prefer to make your very own card design? We will dive into the Cricut Cutter software, leverage available prepackaged designs, and delve into some design software to create your own designs which we will then upload and cut on the Cricut Cutter. You can use custom logos or create customized family memories!
We encourage you to bring your own cotton or 50/50 blend t-shirt to ensure the perfect fit for your masterpiece. You are also welcome to bring a single-color simple image on a flash drive, and witness it undergo a creative transformation into a card or t-shirt design. This workshop is designed to empower both beginners and enthusiasts, so come with an open mind and leave with a personalized card or t-shirt that’s truly your own!
This is a free event with no charge for one project per person. Children are welcome with their adult. Held at the Berks Launchbox, at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, Suite 105. Work at your own pace. Free parking is available on a flat lot behind the building.
