Rolling in Safety Family Helmet Decorating Event
Join us for an unforgettable family experience at our exclusive Helmet Design Workshop! In this creative and educational event, we’re inviting children to dive into the world of design and safety, offering them a unique opportunity to personalize their very own FREE bike or multi-sport helmet, sponsored by the Berks County Safe Kids Coalition and the Reading Hospital Trauma Department.
At the heart of our workshop, children will be thrilled to use cutting-edge Cricut Cutters and 3D printers to craft and affix personalized stickers and names in a variety of colors onto their helmets, turning essential safety gear into a cool, one-of-a-kind accessory. This hands-on experience not only sparks creativity but also instills the importance of safety in young minds.
Cycling offers a fantastic way for kids to stay active and explore their surroundings. However, it’s crucial to address safety, as statistics show that children and teens are at a higher risk of bicycle-related injuries. By providing a free helmet, we aim to lower these risks significantly. A well-fitted helmet can reduce the risk of head injuries by at least 45%, making it an essential piece of equipment for any young rider.
Beyond biking, our workshop emphasizes the importance of helmets for all wheeled sports, including skateboarding and scootering, which are both popular and fun yet pose a risk for injuries. With our engaging event, we’re on a mission to make safety a priority for children, encouraging them to wear helmets consistently by making it a fun and personalized part of their active lifestyle.

Adults must attend with children under the age of 18. If you have multiple age children, you may bring them all together to either session.
