Laser Cutter Open Studio

Learn how to create a project and choose the right setting to start engraving and cutting with the Laser Cutter.

Laser cutters work by directing a very powerful laser beam, at a precise focal length, onto a material which they either cut or etch, depending on how the laser cutter has been set up. Laser cutters cut materials similarly to other computer controlled tools, only they do so using a beam of light as opposed to a blade. Safety training is required.

Some beginner learning projects can include etching photos or designs onto square wooden drink coasters, and cutting name tags out with names etched into them, also out of wood. If you have already created a beginner project, you can move on to something more advanced.

Pre-requisite: Laser Cutter Safety Training and Orientation Class.
