Laser Cutter Safety Training & Orientation

Laser cutters work by directing a very powerful laser beam, at a precise focal length, onto a material which they either cut or etch, depending on how the laser cutter has been set up. Laser cutters cut materials similarly to other computer controlled tools, only they do so using a beam of light as opposed to a blade. Safety training is required.

Some beginner learning projects can include etching photos or designs onto square wooden drink coasters, and cutting name tags out with names etched into them, also out of wood.

There is no charge for this 4 hour program held over two weeks. In order to utilize the laser cutter in the LaunchBox this safety program must be completed, so make sure you don’t miss out!

Saturday Mornings: February 22 & 29, 2020 from 9-11am.
