Veteran Entrepreneurship Meetup Sept. 11, 2019

Join us for refreshments, hor d’oeuvres and an informational session to help guide you on your entrepreneurial path as a Veteran. The session will take place at the Berks LaunchBox located in the Goggleworks Center for the Arts in Reading, PA, and feature multiple veteran speakers including veteran small business owners.

Our first speaker, Dr. Bill Gordon, is from the Social Enterprise Institute USA which was created to collaborate on social enterprise development initiatives that create sustainable social and economic value. Bill will be a great resource for those interested in building or learning about social enterprises. Ken Vennera, from Warrior Rising, will share how his organization creates opportunities for veterans wishing to become entrepreneurs, whom they call “vetrepreneurs”. Warrior Rising can provide mentorship, training and financial support for veterans who aspire to be their own boss, maintain a business and perpetuate the hiring of fellow veterans. Shannon Degiglio, a veteran outreach specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will share resources created specifically for veterans through the SBA. Finally, Dr. Steve Brady, a veteran and entrepreneur will share his experience growing his business with you. Dr. Brady has more than 30 years of experience as a Logistics and Supply Chain professional, researcher, educator, and consultant.

This event will not only provide great tips for Veteran entrepreneurs, but it will also be a great networking opportunity with both the speakers and fellow listeners. Make sure to come out and kickstart your journey as an entrepreneur, what’s a better place to start? Please register!
