Bala Peterson values simplicity and is passionate about solving technical challenges. He has a BSc. in Computer Science from Kutztown University and an MSc. in Project Management from Boston University.

Previously, Bala held roles as a Director of Research and Development at a life science startup, and before that, he was a co-founder of a technology consulting and marketing firm.

These days Bala works at WarnerMedia on HBOMax.com. He and his team build tools and systems which provide qualitative and quantitative insight into the user experience on the platform.

Donna DeMarco

Donna DeMarco is Co-Founder/ Vice President of Viddler, Inc. Viddler helps healthcare organizations build strong relationships with their employees and the communities they serve. Founded in 2005 as an interactive video hosting platform, Viddler has changed the way healthcare organizations engage and communicate with their staff.

During her career, Donna has provided management, software engineering and team building mentoring to Fortune 100 clients. She worked with and guided clients in the analysis and design of their systems, the adoption of software methods, and building successful teams.

Donna is also an adjunct professor teaching Computer Science courses at Penn State (Berks) and Kutztown University. Donna is passionate about getting the next generation, particularly women, interested in STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Math) careers.

Donna has spoken at various technical conferences including SHSMD 2019, STEMUp Network, PADLA, FocusOn Learning, Valley Women’s Conference (keynote), and Digital Summit.

Donna holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science.

Terry McKim

Graduating in 2005 from Millersville University, Terry McKim began his career as Director of Sales and Marketing for a regional commercial printing and marketing company, and subsequently served as Business Development Manager for Reese Ad Agency. During this time, he founded and built his first company, Digitizing, a Digital Advertising Company, which he successfully sold in 2011.

Terry was then recruited to Lords & Ladies Salons as Director of Marketing and Communications, where he developed and repositioned their brand. Seeing an unserved market in the children’s hair care, he co-founded Rock the Locks, a natural hair care product line for kids. Rocks the Locks eventually merged with another international children’s’ product line with distribution in over 4,000 retail outlets nationwide.

In 2014, Terry conceptualized Tippy, the digital tipping system for the service industry, and immediately began testing the software throughout the industry. Officially launched nationwide in 2018, Tippy is currently in 47 states and has over 25,000 users.

Mark Viglione

Mark Viglione is a graduate of Penn State University. He has experience working at a Fortune 500 company as a cybersecurity engineer. Mark is the founder of Enigma Networkz, a software as a service (SaaS) cybersecurity data analytics company, helping small to midsized organizations protect their environment from cyber threats.

Mark is a member of Ben Franklin Technology Partner’s client portfolio program and has been a speaker at Penn State Berks LaunchBox events. He has also authored various cybersecurity related coursework and labs. Viglione holds multiple cybersecurity certificates – SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), SANS GCIA (Certified Intrusion Analyst), CompTIA CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst).
