Families enjoyed making snowflake ornaments while learning TinkerCAD, an online free CAD program, and then how to “slice up” their snowflake for printing on the Berks LaunchBox 3D printers. There were 9 snowflake styles to choose from that could be customized with names or the year.

One child and several adults opted to build their own snowflake from scratch in the CAD software, which took more time but came out beautifully. Cookies and hot chocolate were enjoyed by all!

The Berks LaunchBox team of Michelle and Aidan had a great time helping children and adults alike on Monday 12/16/19 and Wednesday 12/18/19. Michelle Hnath is a Facility Coordinator for the Berks LaunchBox and Aidan Derr is an Engineering and Design employee of Verde Mantis, one of the LaunchBox coworking companies. From preschoolers to adults – fun was had by all!
